Commissioners Award 82 Community Service Contracts | Print |


More than 106 thousand citizens served in 2018

ATLANTA –On February 20, the Fulton County Commissioners approved $6 million in funding with 82 nonprofit agencies who will serve citizens in the areas of Children and Youth Services, Disabilities, Economic Stability/Poverty, Homelessness and Senior Services.

“These contracts represent our continued effort as a county to assist programs aimed at improving the lives of our citizens with the greatest needs,” said Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Robb Pitts. “We want to ensure county taxpayer dollars support these sort of initiatives focusing on impact and effectiveness.”

The CSP program is the County’s primary strategy for funding social services programs connected to the County’s Strategic Plan for Community Impact. This program is funded through the Fulton County General Fund. For this funding cycle, more than 150 applications were received. In 2018, 106,519 residents were served.

Contract applicants are evaluated by a citizen panel during a rigorous review process, and must demonstrate impact within their service areas. A full list of 2019 awardees is attached.
